Miss Michigan 2018 is Miss Shoreline Emily Sioma of Grass Lake

MUSKEGON, MI — The brand new Miss Michigan has been topped.

Miss Shoreline Emily Sioma was topped winner of the 2018 Miss Michigan Scholarship Pageant on the ultimate evening of the competitors, Saturday, June 16 on the Frauenthal Heart.

With 32 contestants within the competitors’s 68th 12 months, younger girls ages 19-24 competed within the two preliminary nights of the pageant on Thursday and Friday on the Frauenthal Heart in downtown Muskegon.

The ladies who had been competing to be Miss Michigan 2018 had been representing represented counties all through Michigan.

Along with her crowning, Sioma earns the statewide title, $12,000 in scholarship cash and the chance to participate within the Miss America Scholarship Pageant, which is able to happen in September in Atlantic Metropolis, N.J.

Sioma was topped by Heather Kendrick, who was Miss Michigan 2017.

Sioma, 24, is from Grass Lake. She graduated from the College of Michigan. 

Ashlee Baracy-Kunkel is serving because the Mistress of Ceremonies through the 2018 Miss Michigan competitors. Baracy-Kunkel was topped Miss Michigan in 2008.
